WAIT…WUT?
This is where the things that aren't work will live — projects, photography, whatever I'm tinkering with.
Wednesday, 1 July 2009, a little after one in the afternoon. Four months into a job at IHG, at a long lunch with my boss and a coworker — the kind that may have involved a drink — cataloguing the things people say in meetings. Something would land, the table would stop, and the reaction was always the same two words. I bought the domain from my phone before we left. The same lunch produced a companion idea nobody wrote down: months spent aligning on a direction, everyone goes home Friday, someone senior has an epiphany over the weekend, and Monday the direction is different. I named this place after the problem, then spent the next seventeen years becoming the person who fixes it.
